Difference between detailed and summary crystal reports

Hi All,

I have created a detailed and summary report that use exactly the same logic but display the data in different formats.

The summary report is essentially a crosstab report showing the number of customer visits per month based on the Entry date. While the detailed report shows the line level details of these numbers.

If i refresh the data for just the past month then the number of rows on the detailed tab is almost equal (less than 1%) to the count of the customers in the summary report.

however, if i expand the date range to 2, 3 or more months then the gap between the detailed and summary report is considerably large (more than 5%).

Do you know what maybe the issue with the data?
