We are encountering similar issue and noticed existing launchpad role under SAP namespace. Inorder to change, we are following OSS 1702081. Same as you have recommended.
One question: When we delete the incorrect role/launchpad, we don't see any pop-up window to save it under $TMP package. So is this question - should we delete the launchpad role or jus the folder and save the changes? kindly let know.
