Quick question regarding your comment above.

But you have to remember to licence all the components you are going to use.

AFAIK, almost all components you need are included in the SAP licence, like partitioning.

 

Could you elaborate more on this statement?

 

what is AFAIK?

Almost all components meaning, are you referring to oracle features? what are all those that we are going to miss if we are going to use oracle binaries?

 

I'm also of the thought that implementing ERP would be cheaper and provides more flexibility for the organization if they already possess enterprise oracle (for that matter any SAP supported DB software) license.

 

any documentation available from SAP on this topic?
